My name is Ant – welcome to my blog where I share the things I have learned, found interesting, or enjoyed whilst working in Data Visualisation and Tableau.
I first used Tableau very infrequently a number of years ago, but I started using it more around 2017. I currently work as a Data Visualisation Developer at Lloyds Banking Group.
I have to date received five #VizOfTheDay nominations from Tableau Public (‘Skyrim Population’, ‘One Year Of Tweets’, ‘Earth Overshoot Day’, ‘Consult Consult_Ant on Ants’ and ‘Goat Butter’). I am a two-time Tableau Public Ambassador and I am the winner of the Elissa Fink “WTF I never knew Tableau could do that” #Vizzie in ’22, ’23 and ’24. I also co-lead the ’24 #Vizzie winning Tableau Public User Group (https://usergroups.tableau.com/tableau-public-user-group/) and co-host the #GamesNightViz community project.
I have a wife and two daughters, and I am also a keen musician, playing the Saxophone and Clarinet, and play in a few different bands, including Fleetville Swing Band.
Just to keep it diverse, I am first dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do and also play at my local tennis club.
