Hi Everyone,
I tend to blog about vizzes I have created and techniques I have used doing them, but I thought I would flip it around and start highlighting a few cool things I have seen in the community (this definitely isn’t everything!). Here are some of the vizzes that have caught my eye over the last month or so.
Victor Munoz – “Travel through my Digital Footprint”
This viz got a #VizOfTheDay nod, and I love how he has used all the app data to ‘Draw’ an actual fingerprint and used transparent sheets and dashboard actions to enable interactivity.

David Clutterbuck – “Catch the Spider”
Definitely my kind of visualisation! David built a game where you have to catch the spiders! A fun and creative use of interactivity and animation. (Hint: if you are struggling to catch spiders, look out for the ‘Hand’ changing size!).

Jack Hineman – “Superstore Rolling Employee Retention”
This is a super clever dashboard, with everything built into one sheet.
I counted 33(!!) different active map layers used to create this visual – meaning he was able to keep precise control over how everything worked on the dashboard!

Brian Moore – Games
Brian’s vizzes are always very clever, and he has just started sharing some vizzes based on classic games, and the first ones are here:
Checkers
This is a super cool two-player version of Checkers, which uses lots of parameter actions and a transparent sheet to control it all. It works so well, and I particularly like the effect of ‘Picking-up’ the checker piece you get when you click on the one you want to move!

Rubiks Cube
How cool is this!!? It uses similar overlay sheet/parameter action functionality to Checkers above, but the Rubiks cube viz itself is really nicely built using polygons and lines. Again this works so well and is super fun (even though I am terrible at Rubiks cubes 😂)

Hope you enjoyed these as much as I did!
